Jewellery
Materials
All metals are sourced from within the U.K. and are 100% recycled. Items are always cast at my home in Cheltenham or in Birmingham.
Process
When silversmithing, I use a range of hand and electrical tools, and at my home the electricity supplied is 100% renewable. When it comes to casting, I use leftover propane gas cylinders from a local farm to power my gas torch.
Packaging
Packaging has been made and designed using FDS-certified card, and is 100% biodegradable and recyclable. Please note I use repurposed wool as a packaging material. If for whatever reason you would not like to receive any wool in your package, please note this in your order.
Books
Materials
All boards and paper are 100% recycled. Covers are made with fairly-traded Nepalese lokta paper made from the lokta bush, a naturally abundant plant found in the Himalayan region. Lokta regenerates prolifically over 5-7 years, and is harvested and processed primarily by women in rural communities, providing them with reliable employment opportunities. All paper paste used is completely natural and derived from almond and potato starch.
Process
The page designs are original and the dimensions and size of the books are chosen by the artist to minimise as much waste as possible. Book pages are printed by a U.K. company in Exeter using only vegan, non-toxic, and biodegradable inks. Their production and processes are also powered by 100% renewable energy. The books in their entirety are bound by hand in Cheltenham, U.K. with Irish waxed linen thread.
Postage
Any orders will be shipped in either new biodegradable packaging OR in previously used plastic packaging that would otherwise be disposed of. Unfortunately I cannot offer shipping outside the U.K.
